She said: ‘The fatigue was immense. It was unbelievable. Chest wise and stuff. I wanted to just go back, I didn’t want to put my health at risk.

‘Strictly was so amazing at making sure it was the right time for me to go back, but I was like, ”guys I want to get back”.

‘I was not upset. I was coughing so much after that dance. Covid was all about the chest for me.

‘The fact I could get back up there again. This virus has affected all of us. There was a sense of fight in me, like no, this is not going to stop me.

‘I’m really happy I was dancing. It really contributed to me getting back on that stage.’

Judi was not disappointed after she and Graziano lost in the dance-off to Adam Peaty and his partner Katya Jones.

She said: ‘It’s a bittersweet feeling, I feel really contented in the sense that I feel like I pushed 100 per cent every time, I came back after Covid and I had an amazing partner, I done something I never thought I could do.’

Graziano, who flew back to Italy after the results, made a surprise appearance through video call and he praised Judi for her fighting spirit.

Your diary will soon be packed with Christmas parties, so if you're already shopping for a fancy new frock, check out Judi Love for inspiration.

Once again, the presenter turned to Nobody's Child for a show-stealing look. For Tuesday's episode, she wore the 'Alexis' dress as styled by Gemma Shanley and Bertie Bowen.

The brand loves a fun print, especially stars, and this midi dress is perfectly printed with a contrasting blue scattered pattern. What's more, the silhouette is super flattering and easy to wear with trainers or heels.

He said: ‘I’m gonna miss my queen so much. Not sharing time with her every day, that’s the most struggling thing right now.

‘The fact she came back, I could see in her eyes that she was fighting.”

Judi added: ‘I don’t think people understand, we’re together every day. The one day you’re not, Sunday, were talking.

‘I voice noted him this morning and said safe flight. Its so much more than just a show. I miss him. I miss the team, I miss the other dancers.

On returning to the competition after recovering from Covid, Judi said on It Takes Two: ‘I felt like there was a lot of nerves but I was so determined to get back on that dancefloor, no matter what, with my partner…

‘I just wanted to get back out there and share the experience with Graziano again – it’s a partnership.’

Judi’s Cha Cha to Physical by Olivia Newton-John was not enough to keep her in the competition as she went up against Adam and Katya but she is not holding her elimination against the judges.

She said: ‘I feel good! I appreciate all the judges, they’re professionals. That’s their expertise, but what I would say to Craig is that his expertise is ballroom so I would challenge him to a little twerk off and let me lift up my scoreboard!’

Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke all opted to save Adam – with Shirley Ballas adding she would have made the same decision.

Elimination: Judi added: 'It¿s a bittersweet feeling, I feel really contented in the sense that I feel like I pushed 100 per cent every time, I came back after Covid and I had an amazing partner, I done something I never thought I could do'

On Saturday, Craig said: ‘I think it’s a tough year for celebrities to sign up for Strictly, there is so much dance talent that you are competing with. All that being said, I have a personal preference and that personal preference, on their dance tonight, is Adam and Katya.’

Anton added: ‘When these two couples danced these dances last night, I gave them the same mark. Watching them tonight, they both made mistakes, but the couple who pushed through with their routine in a stronger way is Adam and Katya.’

Motsi said, ‘I have to say that dance off was really great, it was great to watch both couples dancing on the dancefloor. The decision was made for me and so I have to say that the couple that I will be saving is Adam and Katya.’

Reflecting on her experience Judi told host Tess Daly: ‘This has been an amazing experience, a life changing experience, I want to say thank you to all the professional dancers, the judges, the team, everybody!

‘Graziano has supported me, stuck by me, and took me to a place I never thought I could go and so for that I love you so much. Thank you.

‘Can I just say I’m taking Graz home! I will keep dancing,’ she quipped.

Graziano added: ‘First of all, I’ve made a friend for life. She is one of the strongest women I’ve ever met.

‘This woman has been in rehearsal every day, for every dance, given me 150%, and you know what I love the most, you are true, you are real, so thank you so much.’

Strictly Come Dancing will return on Saturday 6th November at 6:45pm, with the results show on Sunday 7th November at 7:15pm on BBC One.
