IELTS Preparation Course – Life Skills Training
The IELTS Life Skills is a speaking and listening test that can be used at levels A1 and B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (SERR). In addition, it is designed to meet the requirements of the United Kingdom Visas and Immigration (UKVI) for certain visa categories and other immigration purposes.
However, before applying for the test, you should visit www.gov.uk to find out what the English language requirements are for your visa category.
What is the test content and language proficiency?
The IELTS Life Skills test has two levels.
A1 Speaking and listening
B1 Speaking and Listening
Course and format of the IELTS test.
The new IELTS Life Skills test is designed to meet specific immigration requirements and candidates only need to demonstrate speaking and listening skills. On this occasion, you will take the test with another candidate and an examiner. Finally, your own speaking and listening skills are assessed in this unique test.
The IELTS Life Skills test at CEFR level A1 takes 16 to 18 minutes. However, at level B1, it takes 22 minutes. It should be noted that there is no gap between speaking and listening, as you will be assessed simultaneously in both skills.

IELTS test results are usually published within seven days of taking the test.
You will receive one of two results.

Remember that a failed result means that you have not passed the IELTS certification. Therefore, your test cannot be used in a visa application.
Taking the exam
In the case of IELTS certification, there are no restrictions on retaking the test. However, if you pass the IELTS Life Skills test, you cannot retake it at the same level for two years. There are also no restrictions on retaking the test if you fail.
In fact, UKVI IELTS tests are designed to meet the specific administrative requirements of the UK Home Office. Therefore, they can only be taken at UKVI-approved test centers.
It is undisputed that the tests actually administered are the same as all other IELTS tests for this purpose, including the same: content, format, scoring, and difficulty. However, the test report form will vary slightly to show that you are taking the test at a UKVI-approved test center.
